Al-Sadd secured a significant 4-2 comeback victory over Muaither in the Expo Stars League Week 18 game, which unfolded at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Friday.

Despite a strong start from Al-Sadd, who threatened Muaither’s goal on multiple occasions early on, it was the visitors who initially took the lead. Ayman Al-Hassouni scored the opener from a penalty kick in the 39th minute, followed by Tiago, who extended Muaither’s lead with a goal in the 45th minute after taking advantage of an error from the Al-Sadd backline. ...

The goals for Al-Sadd came from a brace by Akram Afif (18′, 20′), while Al-Arabi responded with goals from Rafael Alcantara (38′) and Omar Al-Somah (90+9′). ...

With this result, Al-Sadd maintains its position at the top with 36 points, and a lead of five points. Seydou Sanou’s own goal (45+1’) put Al-Sadd ahead at halftime, but Ferjani Sassi equalised after the break for Al-Gharafa (71’). Al-Sadd regained the lead through substitute Yousuf Abdurisag (80’) before another goal, this time from Khoukhi Boualem (82’), put the teams on level terms once again. ...
