Reserve League: Al-Sadd draw 2-2 with Qatar SC

Al-Sadd drew 2-2 with Qatar SC in the reserve league opening round game which was played on Saturday at the Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium in Al Wakra Club.

With this result, Al-Sadd registered their first point of the season.

Qatar SC raced into the lead with two goals from Abdulaziz Adel in the 18th and 55th minutes, before an own goal in the 75th minute by Adam Mohamed gave Al-Sadd hope. Muhammad Al Manai then managed to score the equalizer for the Wolves in the 84th minute, leading to a 2-2 scoreline. ... 

Mohammed Waad: We thank our fans for their support. We corrected our mistakes in the second half

Al-Sadd’s Mohamed Waad thanked the club’s fans who attended the match and stood behind the team, helping them to a 3-1 victory over Qatar SC in Round 2 of the QNB Stars League.

In his statement after the match, Waad said: “We thank our fans for attending the game. Their support had a great impact on the team, especially in the second half.” ... 

Xavi: Happy with the result, we showed our character in the second half

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his happiness with the 3-1 victory over Qatar SC, in Round 2 of the QNB Stars League, stressing that the victory was well-deserved and against a very good team.

Xavi said in his statement after the match: “I am happy with the result. We played an excellent match against a good team. We managed to come back with our character in the second half, and this is what we always need.” ... 

QNB Stars League: Al-Sadd defeat Qatar SC 3-1

Al-Sadd recorded another victory in the QNB Stars League, after coming from behind to defeat Qatar SC 3-1 in the Round 2 game which was played on Thursday at Khalifa International Stadium.

Qatar SC opened the scoring in the 35th through Sebastian Soria, before Andre Ayew scored the equalizing goal in the 63rd minute. Guilherme Torres added the second goal for Al Sadd in the 77th minute, while Baghdad Bounedjah went on to conclude the scoring in the 83rd minute. ... 

Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Qatar SC clash, Pedro ruled out

Al-Sadd’s first team concluded its training today, Wednesday, at the club’s secondary pitch, in preparation for facing Qatar SC in the Round 2 of the QNB Stars League. The match will kick off at 4:50 PM on Thursday evening at Khalifa International Stadium.

After the training session, head coach Xavi Hernandez, announced the 22-member squad for the match, which is as follows: Meshaal Barsham, Jehad Muhammad, Yousef Al-Baloushi, Baghdad Bounedjah, Mustafa Tarek, Mahdi Salem, Abdulrahman Rashid, Muhammad Mannai, Jung Woo-young, Tabata, Guilherme Torres, Faisal Azadi, Hassan Al-Haydos, Ali Asad, Tarek Salman, Ahmed Sayar, Andre Ayew, Khoukhi Boualem, Akram Afif, Yusuf Abdurisag, Muhammed Waad, Musaab Khidir ... 

Xavi: We played the first 40 minutes excellently

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez stressed on the importance of winning the first match of the league, after his side defeated Al Sailiya 2-0 in the first round of the 2021-22 QNB Stars League season.

In his statement after the match, Xavi said: “I am happy to get the first 3 points in the league. We played the first 40 minutes in an excellent way and we were the best. We controlled the match completely and managed to score two goals and created many chances.” ... 

Tarek Salman: Happy with the win, the weather affected the performance

Al-Sadd defender Tarek Salman expressed his happiness with the team’s important 2-0 victory over Al Sailiya in the opening round of the 2021-22 QNB Stars League.

In his statement to the media after the match, Tarek said: “We’re happy to win the game and to get the first 3 points of the season. I congratulate the Al-Sadd fans for this important victory. The performance dropped in the second half due to the weather and high humidity that affected the players of both teams.” ... 

QNB Stars League: Al-Sadd overcome Al-Sailiya 2-0 in opening game

Al-Sadd opened their 2021-22 QNB Stars League campaign with a 2-0 win over Al-Sailiya in the Round 1 game which was played at Thani bin Jassim Stadium on Sunday.

Goals from Khoukhi Boualem and Rodrigo Tabata in the first half delivered the three points for the Wolves. The result means Al-Sadd are third in the league table after the end of the first round, tied on points with Al-Duhail and Al-Gharafa, but behind on goal difference. ...
