Al-Sadd defender Musaab Khidir spoke of his happiness after his side recorded a 3-0 victory over Al-Khor in Round 10 of the QNB Stars League.
Speaking to the media after the game, Musaab said: “Alhamdulillah for the victory and the three points. The match was difficult because of the long break. We did not train with the new coach, except for two sessions. But the team is going ahead with the same strategy, which is to play for the win.”
He added: “Despite the absence of many players today, Al-Sadd is always ready to compete, with the players that are available. Our young goalkeeper Yousef Abdullah gave a strong display and he has a great future ahead of him.”
As for Al-Duhail’s defeat to Umm Salal, Musaab said: “We are only focused on ourselves. We don’t look at others. Our goal is to perform at our best in every game, in order to win, despite the tight schedule of matches.”
