Al-Sadd registered a huge 7-2 win over Al-Shamal in the QNB Stars League Round 4 game which was played at Khalifa International Stadium on Sunday.

Ali Asad opened the scoring in the 10th minute, before Muhsin Al Yazidi equalised for Al-Shamal two minutes later. Baghdad Bounedjah (13′) and Andre Ayew (15′) then scored in quick succession to start building a big lead for Al-Sadd, which was extended by an own goal from Matias Nani (54′) and a strike from Yusuf Abdurisag (57′). Substitute Rodrigo Tabata made it 6-1 in the 85th minute, while Khalifa Al Malki reduced the deficit in the 87th. Bounedjah then returned to score Al-Sadd’s seventh goal in the 89th minute. ... 

The Al-Sadd first team concluded their preparations on Saturday for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 4 game against Al-Shamal, which will kick off at 7:30 PM on Sunday at the Khalifa International Stadium.

The Wolves go into the team with a perfect tally of 9 points from their opening three games, following wins over Al-Sailiya, Qatar SC and Al-Rayyan. Al-Shamal are in seventh place with 3 points. ... 

Al-Sadd forward Akram Afif stressed the importance of preparing well for the upcoming match against Al-Shamal in Round 4 of the QNB Stars League.

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez spoke of his side’s desire to continue winning, as they prepare for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 4 game against Al-Shamal.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “We are ready to continue winning and we want to keep playing like this. We just need to play in every game like we did in the first 35 minutes against Al Rayyan.” ...

Speaking to the club website after the game, Xavi said: “I am happy with the win. We got three important points for our campaign to defend the league title. The win came over a strong opponent like Al-Rayyan.” ... 

Al-Sadd defender Tarek Salman saluted the club’s fans for their great support in the Qatar Clasico match against Al Rayyan, which ended with the Wolves winning 4-2.

Al-Sadd clinched the Qatar Clasico with a 4-2 win over Al-Rayyan in the QNB Stars League Round 3 game played at Khalifa International Stadium on Wednesday.

Hassan Al-Haydos opened the scoring for Al-Sadd in the 4th minute, before Baghdad Bounedjah doubled the lead in the 21st minute. Andre Ayew then made it 3-0 in the 24th minute. Al-Rayyan reduced the deficit through goals from Hashim Ali and Abdulaziz Hatem on either side of the halftime break. In the 58th minute, Akram Afif secured the win with Al-Sadd’s fourth goal. ... 

The Al-Sadd squad for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 3 game against Al-Rayyan will not feature Khoukhi Boualem, after the Qatari international was ruled out due to injury.

Medical examinations revealed that Khoukhi had suffered a hamstring injury, which will require up to 4 weeks to recover from, before he can return to training with the first team. ... 

Al-Sadd’s Mohammed Waad spoke of his side’s desire to win the upcoming game against Al Rayyan in Round 3 of the QNB Stars League, while also stressing on the difficulty of the clash. The match is set to be played on Wednesday evening at Khalifa Stadium.
