Al Sadd coach Javi Gracia said that his side is facing the challenge of playing many matches over a short period, in the league and in the Amir Cup.

Speaking during the press conference ahead of the game against Al-Wakrah, in the final and 22nd round of the QNB Stars League, Gracia said: “We are playing a large number of matches in a very short period. We faced Al-Ahli in the Amir Cup, then Al-Rayyan in the league, and now we have our next game against Al-Wakrah on Friday. We play a game every 48 hours, and this puts lot of pressure on the players.” ...

Al-Sadd clinched a deserved 1-0 victory over Al-Rayyan in the postponed QNB Stars League Round 14 fixture, which was played on Tuesday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. Abdelkarim Hassan scored the lone goal of the game in the 26th minute.

The result saw the Wolves extend their lead at the top of the table, with a points tally of 59 from 21 games. ... 

Al-Sadd first team player Mohammed Waad spoke of the difficulty of the upcoming clash against Al Rayyan team in the QNB Stars League, but added that his side is focused on getting the win.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Mohammed Waad said: “Al Sadd this season is a great unit that is capable of competing for all titles. Our goal is to reduce our mistakes and to increase our focus, in order to achieve victory.” ...

Abdelkarim Hassan, Andre Ayew, Rodrigo Tabata and Akram Afif scored the goals for the Wolves, who will now meet the winner of the game between Al-Duhail and Al-Sailiya in the final four of the competition. ... 

Al-Sadd president His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani attended the first team’s training session on Friday, as they prepared for the upcoming Amir Cup quarterfinal clash against Al-Ahli.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed visited the team to show his support ahead of the game, which will be played on Saturday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.  ...
