Javi Gracia: We know how important the game against Al Gharafa is

Al Sadd coach Javi Gracia stressed the importance of his side’s upcoming game against Al Gharafa in Round 17 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Gracia said: “We begin the month of February with a lot of matches ahead of us. It’s a busy month for us. We have to play 6 matches. We play every 3-4 days and we have to be ready for that, starting from the match against Al-Gharafa on Saturday.” ... 

Al-Sadd hold main training session ahead of Al-Gharafa clash

The Al Sadd first team held their main training session at the club’s training centre on Thursday, ahead of the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 17 game against Al-Gharafa.

Al Sadd enters the match sitting at the top of the QNB Stars League with 40 points, with two postponed matches yet to be played, against Qatar and Al Rayyan. Meanwhile, Al Gharafa are in fourth place with 26 points. ... 

Javi Gracia: Happy with the players’ performance against Al-Wakrah

Al-Sadd head coach Javi Gracia spoke of his happiness after his side’s big 6-0 win over Al-Wakrah, in the rescheduled match from Round 11 of the QNB Stars League.

In his statement to the club’s website after the match, Gracia said: “We played against a team that is at its best form at the moment, and we managed to score six goals against a team that had the best defense before the match, which is a great motivation for us.” ... 

Ali Asad: We came into the match with great focus

Al-Sadd midfielder Ali Asad expressed his happiness with his side’s 6-0 victory over Al-Wakrah, in the postponed match from Round 11 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking to the media after the match, Ali Asad said: “I am happy to get the win and 3 new points in the team’s campaign. We played a wonderful match against a good team.” ... 

QNB Stars League: Al-Sadd extend lead after 6-0 win over Al-Wakrah

Al-Sadd continued with their dominant run in the QNB Stars League with a 6-0 victory over Al-Wakrah in the rescheduled Round 11 game which was played on Monday at the Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium.

The result saw the Wolves increase their points tally at the top of the table to 40 from 14 games, with two postponed games against Qatar SC and Al-Rayyan yet to be played. ...

Al-Sadd defender Abdelkarim Hassan spoke of the importance of the upcoming clash with Al-Wakrah, in the postponed fixture from Round 11 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Abdelkarim said: “Al-Wakrah is performing well and we respect them a lot. They are now ranked third in the table and they will aim to move to second. At Al-Sadd, our objective is to continue winning and to extend our lead at the top, to defend our title.” ...

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Gracia said: “We know that we will play against a team that’s in their best form with very good stats both defensively and offensively. They are a very compact team and we know it will be a difficult game.” ...

The Al-Sadd first team held their main training session on Saturday evening at the club’s training centre in preparation for the upcoming clash with Al-Wakrah, in a rescheduled fixture from Round 11 of the QNB Stars League. The original game had been postponed after several Al-Wakrah players tested positive for Covid-19. ... 

Al-Sadd resume training in preparation for Al-Wakrah clash

Al Sadd’s first team resumed training at 5:30 PM on Thursday, after a four-day break, in preparation for the upcoming game against Al-Wakrah in the QNB Stars League.

The Wolves extended their lead at the top of the standings after their last win over Al-Arabi, and now have a tally of 37 points.

The team is now preparing for the clash with Al-Wakrah, a Round 11 game that was postponed due to several Al-Wakrah players testing positive for Covid-19. The rescheduled game is set to be played on Monday, the 31st of January at Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium. ... 

Reserve League: Al-Sadd lose to Al-Sailiya

The Al-Sadd reserve team lost 1-2 to Al-Sailiya in the 2021-22 Reserve League Round 6 game which was played at Al-Sailiya ground on Sunday.

The result means Al-Sadd have five points, after a win, two draws and three defeats so far. Al-Sailiya took the lead through Khatab Ziadeh in the 26th minute, and extended their advantage in the 50th minute through Meshal Al-Shammari. Al-Sadd’s lone goal came via Abdullah Al-Yazidi in the 55th minute. ...
