Ali Asad: Ready to face Al-Sailiya, it will be a difficult game

Al-Sadd midfielder Ali Asad described his side’s upcoming game against Al-Sailiya as “difficult”, adding that the Wolves are capable of winning all the trophies this season.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ali said: “The next game will be difficult after Al-Sailiya’s win over Al-Rayyan in their previous game. Al-Sailiya have a strong team and have great players, especially in attack. They deserve a better position based on their performances.” ... 

Xavi: It will be difficult to get three points against Al-Sailiya, we have to maintain our level

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez addressed the media ahead of the QNB Stars League Round 13 clash with Al Sailiya, stressing on the difficulty of the game.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “Al Sailiya is our next opponent and we must know that they defeated Al Rayyan, Al Duhail and Al Gharafa. It means the game will be difficult, especially as they work really well in defence. They follow man-to-man marking almost all over the pitch, and their coach Sami Trabelsi has a lot of experience.” ... 

Al-Sadd hold main training session to prepare for Al-Sailiya clash

The Al-Sadd first team held their main training session on Tuesday at the club’s training facility, in preparation for the QNB Stars League Round 13 game against Al-Sailiya.

The Wolves go into the game in high spirits after a 5-0 win over Al-Kharaitiyat in their previous game, extending their lead at the top of the table. Al-Sadd currently have a tally of 32 points from 12 games. Meanwhile, Al-Sailiya are in eighth place with 15 points. ... 

Salman Falahi delivers lecture for Al Sadd players covering the changes in regulations

Qatari international referee Salman Falahi, delivered a lecture session for the Al-Sadd players on Tuesday, in the main hall of the club’s training facility, before the start of the first team’s main training session in preparation for the QSL game against Al-Sailiya.

The lecture was held in the presence of the coaching and administrative staff of the Al-Sadd team, and all the new amendments in FIFA regulations were reviewed with the use of videos to make them clear to the players. ... 

Amir Cup 2021: Al Sadd set to face Muaither in Round of 16

The Amir Cup 2021 draw ceremony was conducted by Qatar Football Association (QFA) at Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Monday. Defending champions Al-Sadd will begin their campaign for another title by facing Muaither in the Round of 16.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Khalid Al Kuwari, QFA’s Director of Marketing and Communications; Ali Hassan Al Salat, Head of Media; Ali Hamoud Al Nuaimi, Head of Competitions, and Hamad Al Hajri, Member of the Competitions Committee who conducted the draw proceedings. ... 

Xavi: We were better in the second half

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez said that his side did not play well in the first half of their game against Al-Kharaitiyat in Round 12 of the QNB Stars League.

In his comments after the match to the club website, Xavi said: “In the first half, we did not play well, we suffered a lot and did not perform in the required manner. We did not maintain the high level of performance as we had shown in previous matches.” ... 

Santi Cazorla: We are on the right path

Al-Sadd midfielder Santi Cazorla expressed his satisfaction after his side defeated Al-Kharaitiyat 5-0 in Round 12 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking after the game, Cazorla said: “In the first half, we made it difficult for ourselves and Al Kharaitiyat was organized in defence, but with after we scored the first goal, we dominated the match and succeeded in scoring more goals until we settled the match by five goals.” ... 

QNB Stars League: Al Sadd defeat Al Kharaitiyat 5-0

Al-Sadd registered a 5-0 win over Al-Kharaitiyat in the QNB Stars League Round 12 clash which was played on Saturday at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

With this victory, the Wolves increased their tally to 32 points and extended their lead at the top of the table.

Rodrigo Tabata (69’, 78’), Ali Asad (72’) and Baghdad Bounedjah (82’, 89’) scored the goals for Al-Sadd. ... 

Salem Al Hajri: We want to continue at the same level, the second phase will be tougher

Al-Sadd midfielder Salem Al Hajri spoke of his team’s desire to continue at the same level when they face Al-Kharaitiyat match in Round 12 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Salem said: “We will strive to continue at the same level in our next match against Al Kharaitiyat at the beginning of the second phase of the league.
