Abdelkarim Hassan: It was a difficult and hard-fought game

Al-Sadd defender Abdelkarim Hassan said his side’s 1-1 draw with Qatar SC reflected the difficulty of the game.

Speaking to the media after the game, Abdelkarim said: “It was a hard-fought and difficult match for both teams. We tried to take the lead, but Qatar played in an organised manner and were strong defensively, and we couldn’t score the second goal after equalising. In general, both teams did well.” ... 

QNB Stars League: Al Sadd draw 1-1 with Qatar SC

Al-Sadd had to be satisfied with a point after drawing 1-1 with Qatar SC in their QNB Stars League Round 11 clash which was played on Monday at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium.

The Wolves increased their tally to 29 points and ended the first phase of the league at the top of the table.

Qatar SC opened the scoring in the 31st minute through Anthony Okpotu, and then Santi Cazorla equalised for Al Sadd in the 42nd minute from a penalty. ... 

Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Qatar SC clash

The Al Sadd first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming game against Qatar SC with their final training session at the club’s secondary pitch on Sunday evening. The QNB Stars League Round 11 game is set to kick off at 6:30 PM on Monday at Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium.

Head coach Xavi Hernandez supervised the session, making sure the players were physically and technically fully prepared for tomorrow’s match. At the end of the training session, the coach announced the matchday squad, consisting of 20 players: Meshaal Barsham, Saad Al-Dosari, Jung Woo-young, Ahmed Sayyar, Pedro Miguel, Hassan Al-Haydos, Mohamed Waad, Salem Al-Hajri, Ali Asad, Baghdad Bounedjah, Guilherme Torres, Rodrgio Tabata, Santi Cazorla, Abdelkarim Hassan, Yousuf Abdurisag, Hashim Ali, Musaab Khidir, Nam Tae-hee, Ahmed Suhail, Tarek Salman. ...

The Al Sadd first team held its main training session on Saturday, at the club’s training facility in preparation for the upcoming game against Qatar SC in Week 11 of the QNB Stars League.

Al-Sadd go into the game in high spirits after opening up a seven-point at the top of the league table, having defeated Al-Rayyan 1-0 in their last match. Meanwhile, Qatar SC is ranked fifth in the table with 18 points. ... 

Baghdad Bounedjah: Our determination led us to victory

Al-Sadd forward Baghdad Bounedjah praised his side’s desire to win, after their 1-0 victory over Al-Rayyan in the tenth round of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking after the game, Bounedjah said: “The match was very difficult. Al Rayyan succeeded in focusing on the defensive side and blocked all openings, but in the end one goal enabled us to win and get out with the three points.” ... 

Xavi: It was a tough match, we were better than Al-Rayyan

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez spoke of his satisfaction after his side defeated Al-Rayyan 1-0 in the QNB Stars League Round 10 clash on Wednesday.

Speaking to the club website, Xavi said: “It was a difficult game. We were better than Al-Rayyan, especially in the second half. We wasted many opportunities and we could have scored more goals to increase the result.” ...
