Nam Tae-hee: Facing Al Arabi will difficult as always

Al-Sadd’s South Korean midfielder Nam Tae-hee spoke of his team’s readiness for the upcoming clash against Al-Arabi in Round 17 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Nam said: “Against Al-Arabi, it’s going to be a difficult game, as always, but we are very very close to winning the league. We want to win this game and we want to win the league.” ... 

Xavi: We expect a difficult game against Al-Arabi

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez has stressed on the difficulty of his side’s upcoming game against Al-Arabi in Round 17 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “The next game is against Al Arabi and we expect it will be difficult . Everybody can remember we suffered in the final of the Amir Cup because they were defending very well. They didn’t concede too many goals in the recent period. They improved a lot with two foreigner players as centre backs – Muniesa and Azzi, both good players.” ...

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his happiness after his side’s 1-0 victory Al-Rayyan in the semi-final of the 2021 Qatar Cup.

Speaking during the press conference after the match, Xavi said: “It was a very difficult match against Al Rayyan who were strong, both physically and defensively. Al Rayyan has many excellent players, and we did not play as well as we usually do but we achieved our goal, which is to be in the final.” ... 

Qatar Cup: Al-Sadd defeat Al-Rayyan 1-0 to reach the final

Al-Sadd reached the final of the 2021 Qatar Cup after defeating Al-Rayyan 1-0 in the semifinal clash which was held on Thursday at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

Santi Cazorla scored the winning goal for the Wolves, converting a penalty in the 84th minute. The result means that Al-Sadd, the defending champions, progress to the title decider against the winner of the other semifinal between Al-Duhail and Al-Gharafa. ... 

Bounedjah: Our team works as a group to win every game, we want to reach the Qatar Cup final

Al-Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah stressed on the readiness of his side ahead of the upcoming game against Al-Rayyan in the 2021 Qatar Cup semi-final.

Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Bounedjah said: “Al-Rayyan is a good team and we will be high focused to win this game. Everyone will place Al-Sadd as favourites, but the cup matches are different. In the 2020 Amir Cup final, everyone expected Al-Sadd to win by a great score, but Al-Arabi was a strong rival and therefore we must be careful and present our best against Al-Rayyan in order to win and advance to the final.” ... 

Xavi: It won’t be an easy game against Al-Rayyan, it will be an early final

Al-Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez described his side’s next match against Al Rayyan, in the semi-finals of the 2021 Qatar Cup, as an “early final”.

Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Xavi said: “We in Al Sadd want to win this cup, which is a completely different tournament from the league. We have a big challenge this season, which is to win all the tournaments and I am proud of the players because they have done an excellent job.” ... 

Qatargas U-23 League: Al-Sadd defeat Al-Arabi 2-1

Al-Sadd continued their run of victories in the Qatargas U-23 League, after defeating Al-Arabi 2-1 in the Round 16 game which was played on Tuesday at Al-Shamal Stadium.

With this victory, the Wolves maintained their lead in the league with a tally of 41 points. Al-Arabi took the lead in the 62nd minute through Ahmed Salim Hajjaj, before Al-Sadd overturned the scoreline through two late goals from Talal Bahzad, in the 88th minute, and then substitute Hassan Ahmed in the 90th minute. ...
