Felix Sanchez: It’s a decisive match for Al-Sadd

Al-Sadd head coach Felix Sanchez described the upcoming match against Al-Duhail as a crucial encounter for his team. The match is set to take place on Saturday evening at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium as part of Matchweek 16 of the Ooredoo Stars League.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Sanchez stated:
“We have a very tough match on Saturday against the league leaders. It is a decisive match for us, and we are fully aware of that. Our goal is to win and secure the three points, and that’s what we will try to achieve.” ... 

AFC Champions League Elite: Al-Sadd lose 2-1 to Pakhtakor

Al Sadd suffered a 2-1 defeat to Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor in the eighth and final game of the AFC Champions League Elite group stage (West), on Monday, February 17, 2025 at JAR Stadium in Tashkent.

After this result, Al-Sadd ended the group stage with a tally of 12 points.

Brayan Riascos had put Pakhtakor ahead in the 18th minute, before Hassan Al Haydos scored Al Sadd’s equalizer from a penalty kick in the 37th minute. Riascos then added the second goal for Pakhtakor in the 57th minute.

Al Sadd’s squad will depart for Uzbekistan on the evening of Saturday, February 15, 2025, in preparation for their match against Pakhtakor in Matchday 8 of the West Group in the AFC Champions League Elite 2024-2025. The game is scheduled to take place on Monday evening at Jar Stadium in Tashkent.
